Modern agribusiness does not run in isolation. Sensors in cold rooms send temperature data every minute. Weather services send forecasts every six hours. Banks send payment confirmations through the day. Buyers send orders through electronic data interchange. Customs systems receive declarations electronically. Mobile-money providers send settlement confirmations. None of this data is useful unless it can flow into AgriERP cleanly; none of AgriERP’s data is useful externally unless it can flow out cleanly. This document is a catalog of the external systems AgriERP integrates with, and what each integration delivers.

The integrations described here are not theoretical possibilities; they are connections AgriERP supports as standard, in production, in agribusinesses around the world. Some are ubiquitous (banking, tax, weather). Some are specialised (specific buyer EDI portals, country-specific regulatory systems). The middleware described in the previous document, BURQ, is what makes all of these work together as a coherent integration platform.

1. IoT and operational sensors

Cold-chain and storage sensors

  • Cold-store temperature sensors: continuous temperature readings from refrigerated storage, controlled-atmosphere chambers, and reefer containers. Excursions outside the safe range trigger alerts before product is at risk.
  • Humidity sensors: in controlled-atmosphere storage and packing facilities where humidity affects quality, continuous readings feed the storage monitoring dashboards.
  • Gas-composition sensors: for controlled-atmosphere storage, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are read and recorded, and alerts fire when levels drift from target ranges.
  • Door and access sensors: where cold-store doors are left open, the sensor reports it. Useful for both temperature management and security.

Field and irrigation sensors

Weather stations (on-property)Property-mounted weather stations give the precise local conditions (often quite different from the regional forecast). Wind, temperature, humidity, rainfall, evapotranspiration.
Irrigation flow and pressureReal-time flow and pressure readings from the irrigation system. Drops in pressure flag possible leaks or pump issues; flow data drives water-use accounting per block.
Pest traps with sensorsInsect traps with electronic monitoring report catches in real time, supporting earlier pest management decisions.
Satellite and drone imageryPeriodic vegetation index readings (NDVI and similar) across blocks, with anomalies surfaced as agronomic insights.

Equipment and machinery telematics

  • GPS tracking: real-time location of tractors, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment with installed GPS. Useful for dispatch, recovery, and proof of operation.
  • Hours-meter readings: engine hours, operating hours, and idle hours flow automatically into equipment records. Maintenance schedules trigger correctly without manual data entry.
  • Engine and operational telemetry: engine load, fuel consumption, temperature, fault codes. Patterns reveal developing problems before breakdowns.
  • Spray application monitoring: for equipped sprayers, the actual spray rate, the area covered, and the path travelled. Verified against the work order; deviations are flagged.

Weighbridges and intake sensors

  • Truck weighbridge integration: every truck weighed on the weighbridge sends gross, tare, and net weight automatically to AgriERP. Manual entry of weights is removed; transcription errors disappear.
  • In-line weight scales: in packing lines and harvest operations, in-line scales feed continuous weight data for production order accounting.
  • Grade-detection cameras and AI: where the packing line includes optical grading, the grade-distribution data flows in as production output, alongside the weights.

2. Financial system integrations

Banking integrations

Bank statementsDaily or intraday bank statements flow in automatically. Transactions match against AR receipts, AP payments, and internal transfers. Bank reconciliation is continuous, not a month-end exercise.

Payment confirmationsConfirmations of submitted payments flow back, updating the corresponding records. Failed payments surface as exceptions for investigation.

Foreign exchangeWhere the business handles foreign currency, exchange rates flow in from configured sources and FX deals can be confirmed through banking integration.
Letter of credit operationsFor export operations using letters of credit, the LC lifecycle (advice, presentation, acceptance, payment) can be integrated with the bank.

Mobile money and payment providers

  • Mobile-money payments: for grower programs and informal-economy contexts, mobile-money providers are the dominant payment rail. Grower settlements are paid directly to mobile-money accounts; confirmations return immediately.
  • Card processors: where the business takes card payments (direct sales, retail operations), the card processor integrates with AgriERP for transaction capture and reconciliation.
  • Digital wallets: where wallet payments are part of the business model, integrations with the relevant wallet providers are supported.
  • Cross-border remittance: for businesses paying international workers or vendors, cross-border remittance services integrate for cost-effective international payments.

Accounting and finance partners

  • Auditor read-access: external auditors can be given controlled, read-only access to the relevant financial data, with audit-trail of what was accessed. Reduces friction at audit time.
  • Tax-preparation systems: where the business uses a separate tax-preparation platform, the financial data needed flows out in the format the tax system expects.
  • Consolidation systems: for groups using a separate consolidation platform, the trial balance and supporting detail flow out for consolidation processing.
  • Treasury management systems: for businesses with separate treasury operations, cash positions, debt positions, and forex exposure flow out for treasury management.

3. Buyer and supply-chain integrations

Buyer EDI and order systems

Advance shipment notificationsNotifications of dispatch (EDI 856, EDIFACT DESADV) sent to buyers with pallet detail, traceability codes, and expected delivery time. Many buyers require this before receipt.
Invoices outboundSales invoices (EDI 810, EDIFACT INVOIC) sent electronically to buyers, with the line-level pricing and tax detail. Reduces dispute risk; speeds collection.
Pricing catalogsWhere buyers want updated pricing catalogs (new-season pricing, monthly updates), the catalog flows out in the buyer-required format.
Sales activity feedFor retail buyers, scan data and inventory movement at the retailer can flow back, supporting demand forecasting and replenishment.

Logistics and shipping partners

  • Carrier booking systems: shipment requests are sent to carriers electronically; acceptance and capacity confirmation flow back. Reduces phone-and-email coordination.
  • Carrier tracking: shipment status (collected, in transit, at hub, out for delivery, delivered) flows back into AgriERP, with the data visible on dispatch dashboards.
  • Freight invoices: carrier invoices for completed shipments are received electronically, matched against shipment records, and flow to AP.
  • Container line and port systems: for export operations, integration with shipping lines and port operations supports container release, loading confirmation, and bill of lading management.
  • Cold-chain monitoring providers: in-transit temperature data from container loggers or cold-chain monitoring services feeds into shipment records, supporting both quality assurance and dispute resolution.

Supplier and vendor systems

  • Vendor catalogs: supplier catalogs (products, pricing, lead times) flow in regularly, keeping internal procurement data current without manual maintenance.
  • Vendor invoices: supplier invoices flow in electronically (EDI 810 inbound, e-invoicing standards where mandated), enter the three-way-match flow automatically.
  • Order confirmations: supplier confirmations of received POs (EDI 855) update the expected receipt status in AgriERP.
  • Advance shipping notices: notice of dispatch from suppliers updates expected arrivals, supporting better receiving and capacity planning.

4. Regulatory, environmental, and data services

Tax and regulatory authorities

  • Organic certification: certification body records (certificates, audit reports, scope coverage) integrate so AgriERP knows what is currently certified and when renewals are due.
  • GlobalG.A.P. and farm assurance: certification scheme data integrates similarly, supporting buyer requirements for certified supply.
  • Fair trade and ethical schemes: for businesses certified under fair trade or ethical sourcing schemes, the relevant data exchanges with the scheme body.
  • Halal, kosher, and other religious certifications: where buyer requirements include religious certification, the certification records integrate.

Weather, market, and environmental data

  • Weather forecast services: hourly and multi-day forecasts for every farm location, used in spray planning, harvest planning, and risk management.
  • Weather historical data: historical weather data for the business’s locations, used for yield modelling and pattern analysis.
  • Market price feeds: where commodity markets are relevant (large-volume commodity crops, traded reference prices), price feeds inform contract decisions and hedging strategies.
  • Currency exchange rates: daily exchange rates from configured sources flow in for the multi-currency operations.
  • Satellite imagery: vegetation index and other satellite-derived agricultural indicators feed in at intervals, supporting block-level monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Environmental and sustainability data: water-use, energy-use, and carbon-footprint data sources integrate to support sustainability reporting and certification programs.

5. Third-party business systems

Common third-party integrations

  • CRM platforms: where the sales team works in a separate CRM, customer data, opportunities, and orders synchronise with AgriERP so sales and operations share the same customer picture.
  • Specialised payroll systems: where local payroll legislation or scale needs a specialised payroll system, time and HR data flow out from AgriERP and payroll postings flow back to the GL.
  • Business intelligence and analytics: where the business uses external BI platforms, the data warehouse layer of AgriERP integrates to feed those platforms with consistent, governed data.
  • Document management: where document archiving is centralised in a corporate document management system, AgriERP’s documents (contracts, certificates, invoices) sync to it.
  • Identity and access management: single sign-on through enterprise identity systems means AgriERP users authenticate through the business’s main identity infrastructure, not as a separate identity.
  • Communication systems: where email, voice, video, and SMS run through corporate communication systems, AgriERP integrates for notifications, alerts, and Copilot-driven communications.
  • Specialised agronomic platforms: where the agronomy team uses dedicated platforms for soil testing, pest modelling, or variety management, those feed AgriERP with the operational data they produce.

Why this catalog mattersAn ERP that promises to do everything itself is a bad ERP. Real businesses run multiple systems for good reasons: regulatory requirements, scale economics, specialised needs, sunk investments. The right strategy is not to force everything into one system; it is to make sure all the systems work together so people see a coherent business view.This catalog of external integrations is what makes that strategy real for AgriERP. Buyers, banks, sensors, certifying bodies, weather services, regulators, and other corporate systems all connect, all the data they produce is captured, all the data they need is supplied, and the agribusiness operates as a coherent whole.
