Mikayla Mooney is a passionate advocate and investor in AgTech innovation, currently serving as a leader at Ag Startup Engine, a venture capital initiative dedicated to supporting agriculture-focused startups. With deep roots in Iowa farming, Mikayla began her journey at Iowa State University, founding a food-tech startup that created solar-powered food preservation solutions for smallholder farmers. Her entrepreneurial experience includes extensive fieldwork with smallholder communities in Eastern Africa.

Transitioning into venture capital during the global shifts of COVID-19, Mikayla spent three years gaining expertise in investment strategies before reconnecting with her agricultural foundations.
