Client Overview

EnH Farms is a diversified agricultural enterprise based in Kansas, United States. Founded by Eric and Heather Purvis in 1995, the company has grown into a modern farming operation focused on sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and technology-driven agriculture.

The organization manages a range of crop production activities, including corn, soybeans, wheat, seed wheat, and pinto beans. As EnH Farms expanded across multiple entities, crop cycles, harvest activities, inventory movements, and financial processes, its operational complexity increased significantly.

Before the AgriERP implementation, teams relied heavily on spreadsheets, manual data entry, disconnected systems, and fragmented reporting methods. These limitations made it difficult to connect field execution with inventory, accounting, project costing, harvest tracking, procurement, and management reporting.

To support continued growth, EnH Farms needed an enterprise-grade ERP ecosystem that could connect agricultural operations with financial management while enabling mobile execution for teams working directly in the field. Folio3 implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with AgriERP Web and Mobile platforms to create that connected foundation.

Problem

EnH Farms had outgrown spreadsheet-driven processes. Finance, inventory, harvest operations, work orders, inspections, sales contracts, and field activities were managed across disconnected systems and manual workflows, creating visibility gaps and delayed decision-making.

Need

The business needed a centralized ERP ecosystem to unify financial management, inventory traceability, procurement, project accounting, harvest operations, inspections, work orders, and mobile field execution across its farm operations.

Solution

AgriERP implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central integrated with AgriERP Web and Mobile applications, creating a scalable farm ERP platform for finance, operations, inventory, field execution, reporting, and future innovation.

Business Challenges Before AgriERP

As EnH Farms scaled, operational and financial teams needed more than disconnected spreadsheets and manual coordination. The organization required a structured ERP foundation that could support real-time visibility, controlled processes, and better collaboration between farm teams, operational managers, finance departments, and leadership.

Implementing AgriERP for Connected Farm Operations

Folio3 implemented a comprehensive AgriERP ecosystem powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The solution was designed to unify finance, procurement, inventory, project accounting, harvest operations, inspections, work orders, and mobile field execution within one connected digital platform.

Business Central served as the core ERP foundation, while AgriERP Web and Mobile applications extended the platform into agriculture-specific operational workflows. This allowed EnH Farms to capture activity where it happens, connect that data with accounting and inventory processes, and provide management with faster visibility into operational performance.

The implementation focused on digitizing farm execution at the source. Field teams could record updates through mobile tools, while office and finance teams could work from centralized ERP data. This reduced dependency on informal communication, spreadsheets, and delayed manual reconciliation.

The Solution

The implemented solution combined enterprise ERP capabilities with agriculture-specific workflows. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central modernized financial and operational management, while AgriERP enabled crop planning, field execution, harvest management, inspection tracking, resource allocation, and project costing.

Functional Design and Customizations Delivered

A major success factor of the EnH Farms implementation was the design of custom agricultural workflows that matched the organization’s operating model. These enhancements reduced manual effort, improved process consistency, and helped connect farm execution with ERP data.

Task Template ID Automation on the Project Card

One significant enhancement involved the Task Template ID functionality on the Project Card. Previously, users manually selected task lines associated with task templates. The new enhancement automated task line and planning line imports immediately after selecting a task template.

This enabled faster project creation, reduced manual effort, improved planning consistency, automated task synchronization, and simplified operational execution.

Bulk Sync to Farm App

Another major enhancement involved the Sync to Farm App bulk update functionality. Users could select multiple projects simultaneously and update their Agri Status to Sync to Farm App through a single action button.

This improved bulk synchronization management, user productivity, mobile data availability, and operational efficiency for field teams using the farm app.

Additional Custom Agricultural Workflows

EnH Farms gained tighter control over commercial and field workflows through marketing sales contract management, automated shipment assignments, and customized blanket sales orders tailored to their operating model. Harvest quantity posting and configurable inspection templates with defined attributes brought structure to field data capture, while proof-of-delivery integration and reconciliation and true-up workflows closed the loop between dispatch, delivery, and customer settlement. Adhoc work order processing added the flexibility needed to handle unplanned farm activities without disrupting the broader operational cadence.

Implementation Methodology

AgriERP followed a phased implementation methodology to minimize disruption, align stakeholders, and support user adoption. The approach moved from discovery and design to configuration, customization, migration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.

User Acceptance Testing and Release Management

The EnH Farms implementation included structured User Acceptance Testing and release management. Production Release 1.1 introduced enhancements across Business Central and AgriERP Mobile, including planning line update logic, synchronization improvements, and mobile deployment support for both iOS and Android environments.

Testing covered functional validation, end-to-end workflows, mobile application behavior, integration flows, financial posting, inventory and warehouse processes, harvest execution, and work order execution.
